Mr. Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid is the Chairman of the Board Audit Committee of IPDC Finance Ltd. He is a seasoned professional with 31 years of experience, primarily in the fields of Finance and Banking in both global and local banks across several geographies & cultures spreading over Bangladesh, India, and Australia & New Zealand. He is currently working as Additional Managing Director (Business) of United Commercial Bank Limited.
Mr. Rashid also worked as Group CFO of BRAC and BRAC International, prior to which he worked as the Additional Managing Director (Wholesale Banking/SME Businesses and Treasury) of BRAC Bank Limited. In his banking career, Mr. Rashid managed almost all functional areas covering Business (Corporate & SME), Finance, Operations, Risk Management (Credit, Market & Operational), Compliance, Human Resources and General Services. Earlier, he was the Head of Strategic Planning for Citibank-Australia and New Zealand for its Corporate & Institutional Banking Business. He also served as Director of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited and UCB Capital Management Limited.
Trained internationally, Mr. Rashid is a MBA from IBA of Dhaka University (DU) and a MA in International Economics & Finance from Brandeis University, USA and a FCPA (Australia). He earned Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal at IBA (DU) in 1989 and President’s Gold Medal at Marine Academy in 1985. In his multifaceted career, Mr. Rashid was a Mariner in his early professional life and also a Lecturer of Finance at IBA (DU).
